About The Project

Novel Ideas is an innovative bookstore concept, emerging from the need to create a mock website for new team members to practice building websites using various platforms like WordPress and Laravel. In discovering the vast collection of book covers available at the Book Cover Archive, I drew inspiration from the unique and edgy designs that exuded an indie vibe. My target audience was young, 'hipster', and design-oriented - a reflection of myself. To make the mock website feel like a real client project, I developed a brand guideline that featured a wooden font, with bold sans-serif elements and a simple blue color scheme that accentuated the white text.
