About The Project

Big Blue Sea is an online fishmonger based in Grimsby, UK. They work with local fishermen to produce high-quality sustainable fish in the UK and supply one of the UK's biggest supermarkets. The design takes inspiration from the sea and fishing itself, focusing on elements such as fish hooks, waves, and sails to inspire the letterforms. For example, the “L” in the center of the design has a distinctive sharpness that reflects fish hooks, with many of the tails reflecting that too. This, paired with the flowing descenders over the other letterforms' reflecting waves, gives the logo a nautical and modern feel.
